Possible Points: 300

You scored:

+251 to +300 = J Congratulations! You are very worthy of your dog. Dogs dream about belonging to homes like yours. You're in the top percentile of potential puppy owners that responsible breeders dream about placing puppies with. Very often, people in this group are successfully reaching out to help other dogs in need. You are our dog owner Hero and Role Model - thank you and keep up the good work!!

+201 to +250 = J You definitely qualify to own a dog. You're in the upper percentile of all qualified potential puppy owners. You certainly value your dog! A responsible breeder would probably feel good about placing a puppy with you. However, you still have room for improvement in being worthy of your dog. Consider making more effort for long walks and cuddle sessions with your dog, and maybe another obedience class or a special dog grooming session just because you know your dog feels and looks better for it. Most people in this category will spay/neuter, but not all do. Unfortunately, this is one of the people groups that still adds somewhat to the problem of the over-population of animal shelters. If you're in this group, just be certain you make a life-long, unchangeable commitment for the best interests of your dog and for dogs in general when you bring a dog into your care.

+101 to +200 = K You barely qualify to own a dog, and you definitely need to work harder at being worthy of your dog. Don't worry, you're in good company because the majority of dog owners fall into this category. But before you attempt to get another dog, get some personal training on how to better love and care for your dog. Read some books, attend some dog classes/seminars, visit and speak with some responsible breeders and/or dog trainers. And most importantly, realize the serious, long-term commitment you make when you bring a dog into your life. Dogs owned by people in this category are the most likely to be abandoned and/or end up in a shelter and be killed there. People in this category also are often the ones to help over-populate the unwanted dog world through neglect to spay/neuter. Unless you can make a firm commitment to be a better dog owner, you should consider just owning a pet snake or hamster (or maybe a cat) until you're ready for a deeper commitment.

+51 to +100 = K You don't yet qualify to own a dog but you do have merit for taking this test.  If you work at trying harder, you may make a great owner for a pet lizard or spider. Forget bailing a dog out of an animal shelter because you'll probably just return it. You should practice on lizards and spiders for a few years. Then maybe you can attempt to move up to successfully owning a pet rat. Look at the bright side, at least your pet rock years are well behind you.

minus 140 to +50 = L You do not qualify to own a dog or any other live animal because you lack respect, value and consideration for life outside your own. Forget there's such a thing as animals. Let's hope you don't have kids, either. Need a pet? Find a rock and take it home. At least the rock would survive your lifestyle.

If your Test Results were not positive, at least be comforted by the knowledge that you cared enough to take the test. This means you care enough to get educated and improve your worth as an animal caretaker.
